“Female on top,” also known as cowgirl, is accountable for 55% of penis fractures during intercouse, according to research of Brazilian couples published in the journal Developments in Urology.
Penile fracture is when a muscle twists suddenly while a male has an erection, often initiating a crack or pop sound that makes guys unwillingly cross their legs just by thinking of it. (The penis does not have any bones, in spite of this injury being called a fracture.) Urology Health org describes that most penis damages occur during sex when thrusting-goes wrong and are painful as well as disconcerting.
It is easy to see how when a lady is riding cowgirl, she may unintentionally injure the guy’s penis if it slips-out while she rides. As the Tele-Graph reported, the study itself explained:
“OUR STUDY PROVES THE FACT THAT SEX WITH ‘FEMALE ON TOP’ IS THE POSSIBLY RISKIEST SEX POSITION LINKED TO PENILE FRACTURE. OUR THEORY IS THAT WHEN THE FEMALE IS ON TOP SHE IS TYPICALLY IN CONTROL OF THE MOVEMENT WITH HER WHOLE-BODY WEIGHT DROPING ON THE ERECT PENIS, UNABLE TO INTERRUPT IT WHEN THE PENIS HURTS A WRONGWAY PENETRATION, SINCE THE HARM IS TYPICALLY INSIGNIFICANT IN FEMALE WITH NO PAIN BUT MAJOR IN THE PENIS.
ON THE CONTRARY, WHEN THE GUY IS CONTROLLING THE DRIVE, HE HAS BETTER ODDS OF ENDING THE PENETRATION ENERGY IN RESPONSE TO THE PAIN LINKED TO THE PENIS INJURY, DIMINISHING IT.”
We’re sorry to freak everybody out, but other positions have taken men to the hospital as just as well. Missionary, or commonly known as man on top, triggered 22% of penile fractures, whereas doggy, or the guy standing behind as the female is on all fours, triggered 28% of the painful injuries.
Now you know just how dangerous cowgirl is, enjoy it but just be careful, okay?
