Top dating tips & advice for women (by a man)

Dating’s always been a bit of a hard sport. And, if it’s all new to you, online dating can be even trickier. We all approach it in a different way, however here are a few ideas for women that I hope may assist guide you in how to date, from a man’s viewpoint.

It’s always best to be yourself
Yes, it’s suggestions we’ve all received. But it proves out now more than ever. All of us feel tempted, from time to time, to pretend we’re interested in things we’re not, or even that we’re something we’re not. However from the start, you’re far better off simply unwinding and letting your date like you for who you are. It’ll cause a lot less issues down the line (particularly when you have to come great on your claim of being a chilli vodka connoisseur. A remarkable experience …). And after all, everybody’s more appealing when they’re unwinded.

Go in with an open mind
The world would be a better location if we all listened to one another and kept open minds. The dating world’s no exception. If you really listen to your date– asking concerns and showing that you’re interested– there’s a much better possibility that they’ll do the same. Which has the additional benefit of letting you exercise whether you’re suitable much earlier on!

Be prepared for an uncomfortable minute
We might go to excellent lengths to come off as positive, but the majority of males (if they’re anything like me) are covertly suffering from first date nerves. So it’s always good to prepare an ice-breaker. If you’re having a hard time for concepts, have a read of our first date questions. Personally, I like to ask what someone’s preferred childhood TV program was– and if they judge me for being a Scooby Doo fan!

Prevent playing games
My least preferred part of dating can be summarized in one word: games. Both men and women can certainly be guilty of this– but games are just better prevented. Being real about your sensations and objectives will set both of you more at ease. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve informed pals to simply tell the fact– pretending not to be too into someone so they’ll like you more hardly ever exercises in the long run.

Most importantly, have a good time
I’ll end up on a bit of a cliche– but it’s constantly worked for me: simply unwind and enjoy it. Being overly anxious and tense may have amusing and adorable consequences in movies, but it does not work that way when it pertains to dating. Leave your previous experiences and preconceptions at the door, order whatever you like, laugh, listen and just talk about what makes you tick.
